trying out Canadian food :)
It was starting to get dark and i was getting hungry. I went down to the lobby to hear if they had any good restaurant recommendations, and they told me that “The Elm Tree” had wonderful food and have a talented chef. I went to the restaurant and it was amazing! My taste buds were dancing. I ordered Poutine, which is french fries generously slathered in gravy and cheese curds, Fiddleheads which is are curly, edible shoots of fern, often consumed in many provinces seasonally across the country. And then for dessert i went for pancakes, and What could be more Canadian than syrup that comes from the maple tree, whose iconic leaf has come to symbolize Canada and its national pride. A cup of tea, and last but not least, a butter tart which is a classic Canadian dessert made with butter, sugar, syrup and eggs.
